Windex Windows of Opportunity
In the 1960’s and 70’s, many American schools were purposely built without windows to “minimize distractions” from the outside world. This flawed design theory has forced millions of students and teachers to spend their entire school years without any access to daylight. Researchers have proven that this affects children physically, mentally and emotionally – all of which leads to lower academic performance. To correct this problem, Windex launched Windows of Opportunity, a nationwide program to bring natural light to windowless classrooms.
